He is survived by: his son John Wood Boyd, Jr. (Janet); his grandchildren, Megan, Marisa and Walker; his daughter Alison Boyd Strong; his grandchildren, William and Whitney; his son Todd Davis Boyd (Maeghan); his grandchildren, Ivey, Eden and Tate; his daughter Brandy Boyd Dyess (Turner); his grandchildren, Wyatt and Rubye; his child Lindsey Boyd Abdalla (Tom); and his grandchildren, Ellis and Olivia.
