He is survived by: his wife Melinda Franklin Smith of Clinton, MS; his sons, James Wade Smith (Melanie) of Pearl, MS and Michael Brandon Smith (Samantha) of Columbus, MS; his grandchildren, Andrew Smith (Holly), Avery Smith (Brandi), Annah Brooke Smith, Hunter Smith, Stella Smith and Drake Smith; and his siblings, Ernest Smith Jr. (Alisa), David Smith (Teri), Roger Smith (Paula), Janice Robinson and Lisa Vance (Mike). He is also survived by 7 great-grandchildren.
Visitation was held on Tuesday, April 15th 2025 from 11:00 AM to 1:00 PM at the Lakewood Funeral Home (6011 Clinton Blvd, Jackson, MS 39209). A celebration of life was held on Tuesday, April 15th 2025 at 1:00 PM at the same location.
