It is with deep sorrow that we announce the death of Jannette Nelson of Jackson, Mississippi, who passed away on February 11, 2025, at the age of 87, leaving to mourn family and friends. You can send your sympathy in the guestbook provided and share it with the family.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Frederick Joshua Taylor and Mary Arrietta Taylor (Spears); her husband Bill Nelson; her brother Jerry Taylor; and her great grandchild Jay Thomas.
She is survived by: her sister Joanne Adcock of Philadelphia, MS; her sons, Larry (Madonna Nelson) and Joey (Dovie Nelson); and her grandchildren, Taylor Nelson of Brentwood, TN, Colin Nelson of Nashville, TN, Beth Shepherd of Summit, MS and Casey Cap of Canton, MS. She is also survived by eight great grandchildren, one great-great grandchild, and many cousins, nieces and nephews and their many children and grandchildren.
Visitation was held on Saturday, February 15th 2025 at 10:00 AM at the Porter Funeral Home (302 W Park St, Louisville, MS 39339). A funeral service was held on Saturday, February 15th 2025 at 11:00 AM at the same location.
