She is survived by: her parents, Gail Bankston and Walter Bankston of Jackson, MS; her daughter Courtney Marie Smith of Virginia; her siblings, Ted Bankston of Jackson, MS, Sheri Bankston of Jackson, MS and Penny Bankston of Jackson, MS; her grandsons, Caiden and Jeremiah; and her caregiver Lee Ann Barrett.
