She was predeceased by : her parents, Sadie Mae Fields of Jackson, Mississippi. and Jack Douglas Fields; and her sisters, Brenda Fields Wall and Jackie Fields Anderson. She is survived by : her husband David Fitzgerald; her sisters, Denise Fields Morgan (Russ) and Lisa Fields Tyson (Billy); her daughters, Darla Fitzgerald Barwick and Melanie Fitzgerald Moree (Donny); her grandchildren, Raylee Nicole Miller (Joshua), DonAllen Moree, Shelby Lynn McElroy (DJ) and Hunter Joseph Moree; and her great grandchildren, Brynlee Mae Miller and Bryer Crews Miller. She is also survived by many nieces, nephews, and cousins.

Visitation was held on Thursday, June 27th 2024 from 12:00 PM to 2:00 PM at the Lakewood Funeral Home (6011 Clinton Blvd, Jackson, MS 39209). A funeral service was held on Thursday, June 27th 2024 at 2:00 PM at the same location.

In lieu of flowers the family request donations in her name be made to The Cancer Society or The Alzheimer's Association.
