He was predeceased by: his parents, Lonnie Fletcher and Mary Irene "Rene" Smith; and his sisters, Christine Brumley, Lois Woodruff and Burndeen Blackard.
He is survived by: his wife Shirley Nunley; his children, Herman Nunley, Jr. (Lauren), Darrell Nunley (Rhonda), Jonathan Nunley (Emily) and Rhonda Nunley Dawson; his siblings, Paulie Nunley, Opal Crabb of Iuka, Lela South of Iuka, Ellie Lambert of Iuka and Tina Puckett of Iuka; and his grandchildren, Danielle Taylor, Claire Williams (Brooks), Mary Beth Sheffield (Kevin), Bradley Nunley (LaShea), Josh Nunley (Brooke), Amber Spencer (Jason), Nick Dawson (Maegan), Leah McMorries (Ryan), Connor Nunley and Addy Nunley. He is also survived by 19 great-grandchildren.
