He was predeceased by: his parents, John Wiley and Birdie Jewel Hollingsworth; his former wife Shelby Hollingsworth; his parents-in-law, Robert and Lawana Burchyett; his son Robert Hollingsworth, Sr.; and his siblings, Marilyn, Mary Hollingsworth, Dewey, Durvell, Chester, Freddy, John, Tony, Raymond Hollingsworth and Harold Williams.

He is survived by: his wife Erma Hollingsworth; his children, Deborah Luttrell (David), Nancy Kelley (Mike) and Ronald Hollingsworth (Tina); his sisters, Louise Garrett and Carolyn Lucas (Jimmy); his grandchildren, Cheri Heir (Grant), Robert Hollingsworth (Carleen), Leah Welch, Jeremy Welch (Bridgett), Lane Luttrell, Lance Luttrell, Jeremy Luttrell, Joshua Luttrell (Kristen) and Tony Lowrence (Olivia); and his great grandchildren, Kaylee, Shannon, Kyle, Jocelyn Lowrence, Gage Welch, Collins Welch, Brayden Welch, Charlie Welch, Rylen Luttrell, Alfie, Arlo Luttrell, Alexandra and Alorha Lowrence.

Donations may be made in Mr. Shannon's honor to the Sanctuary Hospice House in Tupelo, MS.
