He was predeceased by: his wife Janice Edmondson South; his parents, Estes South and Audie Belue South; his son Sammy South; and his siblings, J. T., Wallace, Bobby Joe, Mackey, Charles, Truman South, Earnestine Trimble and Melvoline Walker.
He is survived by: his pet Jake; his daughter Nancy Stripling (Bobby) of Iuka; his grandchildren, Evan Stripling, Ethan Stripling and Heather Marks (Doug); and his great grandchildren, Noah Marks, Peyton Marks and Levi Marks.
Memorials may be made to the Iuka Baptist Church Vacation Bible School or Senior Adult Program.
