She was predeceased by: her parents, Due Thompson and Ruby Nabers Thompson; her husband Kelly S. Segars, Sr.; her brothers, Douglas Thompson (Burnell) and Fred Thompson (Vernell); and her nephews, Charles Thompson and Tommy Thompson.

She is survived by: her children, Dobermans, Dr. Scott Segars (Diane), Mark T. Segars (Lynn) and Leigh Ann Segars; her grandchildren, Tyler, Jackson (Carol), Annie and James; and her nieces and nephews, James Neil Thompson, Jerry Thompson, Dolores Sparks of Red Bay, Susan Ledbetter of Red Bay and Janet Kennedy of Red Bay.
