She was predeceased by: her husband Berville Parsons; her parents, Thomas King and Vada Carpenter King; her daughter Jeanette Parsons; and her siblings, Quay Lytal, Curtis King, Dean King and Travis King.

She is survived by: her children, Donna Blakney (Jerry), Kay Strickland and Bobby Parsons (Stephanie); her sisters, Judy Coleman and Esta Beales; her siblings-in-law, Billy Lytal and Imogene Parsons; and her grandchildren, Samantha Bullard (Brian), Abbie Blakney, Amy Anglin (Casey), Zack Parsons (Bethany), Amanda Parsons, Walker Parsons, Jason Parsons (Theresa), Sierra Parsons and Monica Strickland. She is also survived by 6 great grandchildren; and several nieces, nephews.

Memorials may be made in Lavonne's honor to the Berea Church of Christ.
