It is with deep sorrow that we announce the death of John Lamar Rutherford (Iuka, Mississippi), who passed away on February 1, 2022, at the age of 89, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his parents, Fred D. Rutherford and Effie Rast Rutherford; his brother Wheeler Harris Rutherford; and his sister-in-law Rita Rutherford. He is survived by: his wife Evalena Page Rutherford; his children, Steve Rutherford (Barbara) and Rhonda Nunley (Johnny); his granddaughter Andrea Rutherford; his stepgranddaughter Deborah Najedinne (Majid); his stepgreat-grandchildren, Mandy Stark (Ben), Sydney Parnell and Kaiden Najedinne; and his great great grandchild Estella Stark. He is also survived by nieces and nephews.
Due to Covid there will be no visitation and a private graveside service will be held Saturday, February 5, 2022, at Rutledge Salem Cemetery, Iuka, MS.
