He was predeceased by: his wife Mary Catherine Daily; his parents, Charles Daily and Bessie Crouse; and his siblings, Viola, Claudine, Rudy, Leon and Edward.

He is survived by: his children, Sheila Freitag (Steve), Phillip Daily and Ronald Daily; and his grandchildren, Annalise Dotson (Sam) and Harrison Freitag.
