He was predeceased by: his grandmother Becky Vandiver; and his great-grandparents, Charles Cummings, Clayton Montroy Askew, Clovis Vandiver and Huey Williams.

He is survived by: his parents, Tyler Vandiver and Amy Vandiver; his grandparents, Becky Williams (Brian), Darryl Askew (Anita) and Alan Vandiver; his great-grandparents, Linda Holland (Danny), Brenda Holley (Larry), Lola Vandiver and Bobbie Gail Williams; and his aunts and uncles, Ethan Vandiver (Amanda), Junior Cummings (Regina), David Askew (Tammy), Tim Holland (Theresa), Randy Williams (Charlotte), Beth Smith (Jessie) and Sonya Hester (Greg).

He gave sixteen precious gifts of life by organ donation and received a walk of honor at the Regional One Health Medical Center (The Med).
