It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Frances Lee Blakney of Iuka, Mississippi, born in Corinth, Mississippi, who passed away on June 8, 2023, at the age of 81, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her parents, Archie O. Isbell and Opal Curtis Isbell; her children, Danny Joe Poindexter and Lana Woodruff; and her sisters, Mary Faye Baldwin, Wanda Sue Gilbert, Elizabeth Lambert, Johnnie Harville and Debra King.
She is survived by: her husband Lester Blakney, Jr.; her children, Tony Blakney, Jason Blakney (Jennifer), Tammie Rooker (Johnny), Patricia Woodruff (Kenny), Regina Brown (Richard), Carla McKinney (Charlie) and Charity Blakney (Malerie); her siblings, Jerry Barnes, David Barnes (Denise), Shirley Kiddy (George) and Kim Campbell; and her daughter-in-law Debbie Poindexter. She is also survived by numerous grandchildren, great grandchildren and great great-grandchildren.
