She was predeceased by: her parents, Brodis Franks and Irene Hamilton Franks; her husband Cliff Jones; and her siblings, Jerry Franks and Ruth Lovelace.
She is survived by: her sisters, Lee Williams (Roy), Shirley Brown, Deanna Forbes, Linda Lambert and Kate Warren (Ed); her stepdaughters, Melissa Cooper and Mechelle Kay; and her nieces and nephews, Angela Agee, Page Mathis, Lori Brown, Bradley Franks, LeeAnn Roberson, Sherry White, Chris Middleton, Deanna "DeeDee" Metherall, Jeremey Lambert, Paul Warren and Matthew Warren.
Donations may be made in Mrs. Alta's name to the Iuka Baptist Church.
