She was predeceased by: her parents, Nancy Colyer and Alfred Childs; her brothers, James Edward Childs, Bud Childs, Wes Childs, Tommy Childs, Morris Childs, Willie Childs, Alfred Childs Jr., Billy Joe Childs and Gary Childs; and her granddaughter Dena Smith.
She is survived by: her children, Roy Hobson, Jr. (Tammy) of Indianola, Wayne Hobson (Christy) of Cruger, Susan Hobson of Greenwood and Debbie Shaw (Jon) of Tilly, Arkansas; her sister Doris Grisham of Belzoni; and her grandchildren, David Smith (Kathy), Cassie Ferguson (James), Crystal Penson (Andrew), Jonathan Hobson (Jessica), Steven Hobson (Jennifer), Michael Hobson (Dominique), Brandon Hobson and Anna Hobson. She is also survived by fourteen great-grandchildren.
Visitation will be held on Monday, September 30th 2024 from 1:00 PM to 2:00 PM at the Burton Funeral Home (634 US-82, Indianola, MS 38751). A funeral service will be held on Monday, September 30th 2024 at 2:00 PM at the same location.
