She was predeceased by: her parents, John Washington Evans and Annie Lee Dees Evans; her husband Henry Ables; and her siblings, Leona Bailey, Mary Berry, Ella Ruth Hawkins and James Evans.

She is survived by: her children, Glenda Householder of Corning and Darrell Ables (Cathy). She is also survived by children, a host of nieces and nephews as well as many loving friends.
