It is with great sadness that we announce the death of William Green Poindexter III of Inverness, Mississippi, who passed away on November 25, 2024, at the age of 80, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his parents, Richmond Lewis Scott Poindexter and Kathleen Jones Poindexter. He is survived by: his wife Malinda Parr Poindexter; his son William Green Poindexter, IV (Bailey); his grandchildren, Ruth Allen Poindexter and William Green Poindexter; and his brothers, Richmond Lewis Scott Poindexter (Sis) of Inverness, Fred Jones Poindexter (Dotty) of Greenwood and Robert Vanlandingham Poindexter (Allison) of Inverness. He is also survived by his fourteen nieces and nephews and their twenty-two children.
