It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Walter Johnson Jr. of Inverness, Mississippi, born in Leland, Mississippi, who passed away on February 1, 2021, at the age of 91, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his parents, Walter S. Johnson and Viola Carrol Johnson; his wife Pearl Phillips Johnson; his son Ricky Johnson; and his siblings, Eugene Johnson, Billy James Johnson and Mae Walton Youngblood.
He is survived by: his children, Harold Johnson of Colt, Michael Johnson (Beth) of Youngsville, Keith Johnson of Inverness and Carolyn Buchanan (John) of Victoria, Texas; and his siblings, Jimmy Allen "Pete" Johnson (Joyce) of Vicksburg and Mary Catherine Lett of Hartford, Alabama. He is also survived by nieces and nephews.
