She was predeceased by: her parents, Florene Tramel Walker and George B. Walker; her son Edgar Butler Smith, IV; her daughter-in-law Kimberly Neal Smith; her grandchildren, Edgar Butler "E. B." Smith, Emily Britt Smith and Everette "Rett" Kimbriel Williams, III; her great grandchild Christopher Matthew Williams of Inverness; and also Mary Florene Blackstone of Greenwood.
She is survived by: her husband Edgar Butler Smith, III; her daughter Elizabeth S. Kunefke; her son-in-law Daniel Kunefke of Inverness; her great grandchild Natalie Blake Williams of Cleveland; her brother George Bernard Walker, Jr.; her sister-in-law Sharon Tucker Walker; her brother Wayne Edward Walker; her sister-in-law Kay Carr Walker of Itta Bena; and her nephew Edward H. Blackstone, III. She is also survived by her numerous family members and close friends.
Visitation was held on Saturday, December 7th 2024 from 1:00 PM to 2:00 PM at the Burton Funeral Home (634 US-82, Indianola, MS 38751). A funeral service was held on Saturday, December 7th 2024 at 2:00 PM at the same location.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be sent to Lehrton Cemetery Fund in Ruleville, The American Alzheimer's Association, The Muscular Dystrophy Association, or your favorite charity.
