She was predeceased by: her parents, Richard Preston and Frances Leo Murff Aust; her husband Ernest Maxey; her son Walter Preston "Butch" Maxey; and her brothers, Richard Aust, Ed Aust and Robert Aust.
She is survived by: her sons, Jerry Michael Maxey of Indianola and Bobby Wade Maxey (Kim) of Indianola; her siblings, Wade Aust (Tommie Nell) of Fulton, Walter Aust of Jenner, Louisiana, Nita Gardner of Bonifay and Jean Abernathy (Mac) of Florence; her grandchildren, Stephanie Maxey Bourque of Franklin, Preston Maxey of Indianola, Lindsay Maxey Massey of Inverness, Cody Wade Maxey of Inverness and Katherine Christine Maxey of Indianola; and her great grandchildren, Maria Bourque of Franklin, Anna Sterling Massey and Cam Massey.
