She was predeceased by: her parents, Sammy Tharp and Crystal Hamilton Tharp Bates; her son Stephen Lowery Ward; her stepfather Pete Bates; and her nephew Charles Kimbrell.
She is survived by: her daughters, Megan Elizabeth Hudson of Paragould and Callie Morgan Ward of Indianola; her granddaughter Khloe Elizabeth Oakes; her husband Douglas Eugene "Gene" Ward of Indianola; her granddaughter Khloe Oakes of Indianola; and her siblings, Pam Kimbrell of Moorhead, Michael Tharp of Moorhead, Shea Tharp of Grenada and Jason Bates of Indianola. She is also survived by nieces, nephews, family members and special friends.
Memorials may be made to the educational fund established at Planters Bank in the name of Khloe Oakes.
