She was predeceased by: her mother Mary Terry Fokakis of Virginia; and her grandparents, Claude Willis Terry, Dorothy Bond Terry, Nick Arthur Fokakis and Lybia Howell Fokakis.

She is survived by: her father Dr. Arthur Nick Fokakis; her husband David Clayton Patterson; her sons, Samuel Clayton, Reilly Campbell, Nicholas Brayden and John Kastens Patterson; and her siblings, Virginia "Ginny" Fokakis Williams (Gary) and Dr. Terry Nick Fokakis (Kendra). She is also survived by 6 nephews.

She was especially impactful to her community, church, local schools, and daycare programs during the Covid pandemic.
