It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Joe Hawkins Sr. of Indianola, Mississippi, who passed away on August 15, 2022, at the age of 89, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He is survived by: his wife Sherry McMinn Hawkins; his children, Joey Hawkins (Kim), Becky Dotson, Laura Weems, Glynda Wright and Jeanie Habig (David); his granddaughters, Ana Katelyn Vance, Holly Hawkins, Kellie Habig, Barbara Ann Whitfield and Jesse Dotson; his great grandchildren, Daisy Jordan, Rory Hawkins and Ellis Vance; and his godchildren, Katie Dodd and Skipper Dodd.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made to First Baptist Church of Indianola or Indianola Academy.
