It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Jewel Amason Kirksey of Indianola, Mississippi, born in Magee, Mississippi, who passed away on January 24, 2025, at the age of 86, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her daughter Teresa Kirksey Boulware; her grandchildren, Will Perry (Kita), Callie Dye (Stephen), Morgan Boulware, Brooke Fisher (Wesley), Connor Dickerson (Ashleigh) and Brett Dickerson; her great grandchildren, Jayden, Jameson, Joey, Lilly, Oakley, Kirby and Keifer; her parents, Walter Dennis and Lanah Mae Amason; and her siblings, Evelyn Kendall and Lavelle Amason.
She is survived by: her husband Billy Kirksey; and her siblings, Gwen Weeks, Elizabeth Errington of Jimmy Amason, J. D and Arnold Amason.
Visitation was held on Tuesday, January 28th 2025 from 11:00 AM to 12:00 PM at the Burton Funeral Home (634 US-82, Indianola, MS 38751). A funeral service was held on Tuesday, January 28th 2025 at 12:00 PM at the same location.
