He was predeceased by: his parents, Chalmer Knight and Mary Lou Stringer Knight; his son Charles Garvin "Pete" Knight, Jr.; and his siblings, Marvin Knight and Doris Rimmer.
He is survived by: his wife Zona Ann Wood Knight of Indianola; his daughter-in-law Catherine Nelson (Chuck) of Memphis; his grandsons, Charles Garvin "Chas" Knight, III (Nellie) of Wheatland and Caleb W. Knight (Corinne) of Memphis; his stepgranddaughter Emily Baker (Joe) of Memphis; and his great grandchildren, Lila Piper, Houston, Barrett, Price, Tony, Jackson and Noah. He is also survived by two nieces; two nephews; and many cousins.
