He was predeceased by: his wife Delores Anne Stewart; and his parents, Jeffery Stewart and Ruby Stewart. He is survived by: his children, Suzanne Brown (Paul), Walter R. "Bobby" Stewart, Jr. and Brian Sanders Stewart (Sandy); his sister JoAnn Lott; his granddaughters, Katie Brown, Madelynn Carter Stewart and Macy Caroline Stewart; and his great grandchild Grayson Hadley.
Visitation will be held on Monday, March 3rd 2025 from 11:00 AM to 1:30 PM at the Thyatira Church of Christ (26059 MS-4, Senatobia, MS 38668). A funeral service will be held on Monday, March 3rd 2025 at 1:30 PM at the same location. A burial will be held on Monday, March 3rd 2025 at the Mt. Zion Cemetery (5600 MS-305, Coldwater, MS 38618).
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be sent to The Delores Sanders and Walter R. "Sonny" Stewart Endowed Scholarship at NWCC or Independence Church of Christ where he was a member.
