It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Darrell Rushing of Independence, Mississippi, who passed away on August 8, 2022, at the age of 73, leaving to mourn family and friends. He is survived by: his wife Bessie Mary Clanton Rushing; his children, Cindy Lucas (George) of Independence, MS, Jim Sanders (Angie) of Hernando, MS and Stacy Leeton (Jim Holmes) of Olathe, Kansas; his grandchildren, Devin Sanders (Kathleen Schroeder) of Texas, Zachary Leeton (Savannah) of Independence, MS, Amber Leatherwood (Blake) of Independence, MS, Sierra Sanders (Ben Umberger) of Independence, MS and Tara Cook of Hernando, MS; his great grandchildren, Sadie Leeton and Umburger of Tennessee; and his sister Nancy Smith (Fred) of Independence, MS.. He is also survived by nieces and nephews.
