He was predeceased by: his son Larry Key; and his parents, Herschel Key and Alma Key. He is survived by: his wife Shirley R. Key of Independence; his daughter Julie Poynor (Jimmy) of Independence; his grandchildren, Courtney Johnson (Seth), Wess Anglin (Laura), Jacob Poynor, Ashlynn Poynor, Aaron Poynor (Haley) and Autumn Malone (Justin); and his great grandchildren, Macie Johnson, Kylie Johnson, Sawyer Johnson, Mari-Kathryn Johnson, Brock Poynor and Carter Poynor.
Because of his love for livestock and the local FFA program, the family request memorials may be made to Independence FFA Alumni, 4730 Old Memphis Oxford Rd., Coldwater, MS 38618.
