We are sad to announce that on August 1, 2024, at the age of 94, Arnold Brown Peyton of Independence, Mississippi passed away. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

He was predeceased by: his parents, Arthur Herman Peyton and Iva Brown Peyton; and his siblings, Virgil Peyton, Marvin Ray Peyton, Hubert Peyton, Clarence Peyton and Beatrice Peyton Wallace.

He is survived by: his wife Bertha Jamison Peyton of Independence, MS; his daughters, Stephanie Peyton Shackleford (Dennis) of Independence, MS and Cindy Peyton Ferguson-Trainum of Independence, MS; his grandchildren, Heath Shackleford (Marie) of Woodland Hills, Melissa Ferguson Merriken (Joe) of Sarasota, FL, Jill Shackleford McClure (Doug) of Senatobia, MS and Brad Ferguson (Whitney) of Independence, MS; his great grandchildren, Paige McClure Nickens (Garrett), Bevan Beard, Peyton McClure, Kade Shackleford, Isaiah Ferguson, Jake Shackleford, Preston Merriken, Micah McClure, Anna Ferguson and Colton Ferguson; and his great great grandchildren, Blaire Nickens and Will Nickens. He is also survived by numerous nieces, nephews and life long friends.
