It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Alex Smith (Independence, Mississippi), who passed away on November 24, 2019, at the age of 20, leaving to mourn family and friends. He is survived by: his parents, Ricky Smith and Heather Smith of Independence, MS; his grandparents, Loy, Joyce Smith of Independence, MS, Clay Whitehurst of Independence, MS and Patricia Whitehurst of Eads, TN; his brother Mac Smith of Independence, MS; and his cousins, Elizabeth Davis, Marianda Davis, Adam Smith, Emily Smith, Jenna Whitehurst and Madison Whitehurst.
