He was predeceased by: his parents, James Edward Sherman and Dorothy Mae Beasley Sherman; his siblings, Eddie Sherman, Lynn Sherman, JP Sherman and Dorothy Jean Hatcher; his niece Kally Slider (Christy Sherman); and his stepdaughter Christine Ashton.
He is survived by: his wife Kathy Sherman; his sister Donna Slider (Melroy); his children, Christopher Sherman (Andrea) and Katrina Yates (Casey); his stepchildren, Travis Dunsford (Ashley) and Michell Glazier; and his grandchildren, Alex Hardwick, Bella Sherman, Tanner Sherman, Claire Yates, Collin Yates, Jordan Rosenbohm and Morgan Rosenbohm.
