She was predeceased by: her husband Earl McBride Carter Jr.; her parents, Willard E. Jones and Leola Davis Jones; and her siblings, Benny E. Jones, Mary Rose Dempsey and Etta Grey Kitchens.
She is survived by: her children, Freddy Carter (Sonja) of Lucedale, Robert Carter (Carla) of Hurley and Gloria Amacker (Mackie) of Brandon; her brothers, Robert M. Jones of Eureka Springs, AK and Edward Jones of Hurley; her grandsons, Jason Carter, Michael O'Quin, Patrick Amacker and Jeremy Carter; and her great grandchildren, Chandler Carter, Alan and Michael Carter. She is also survived by nine grandchildren and sixteen great grandchildren.
