He was predeceased by: his uncle George "Gus" Hughes; and his niece Mary Ladella Rose Edwards. He is survived by: his mother Lydia M. Foster Johnson of Houston; his wife Sharon K. Mullins Johnson of Woodland; his children, Steven Johnson of Woodland and Sabrina Johnson of Woodland; his siblings, Paul Johnson (Barbara) of Houston, Charles Johnson (Amy) of Houston, J. R, Angela Johnson Brown of Columbus and Rose Edwards (Joe) of Ackerman; and his grandson Dakota Johnson of Woodland. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
