James Edward Harrell Sr. Obituary
With solemn hearts, we announce the passing of James Edward Harrell Sr. of Houston, Mississippi, whose presence will be deeply missed, having departed on December 20, 2024 at the age of 81. He was predeceased by: his parents, Floyd Deward Harrell and Clytee Duncan Harrell; and his siblings, Ruby Ann Watkins, Howard Harrell and Wayne Harrell.
He is survived by: his wife Wanda Lou Alford Harrell; his children, Tammy Harrell Watkins (Tony), Dalonda Harrell and Eddie Harrell, Jr. (Barbara); his siblings, Mary Lois Neal (Johnny) and David Harrell (Sandra); his grandchildren, Britt Criddle (Taylor), Christopher Earnest, Lauren Morris (Dayton), Megan Grimes (D. J.), Landry Katherine Harrell and Addie Beth Watkins; and his great grandchildren, Easton Criddle, Kenzleigh Earnest, Layla Morris, Khloe Earnest, Madelyn Morris, Tripp Grimes, Olivia Morris, Eli Grimes, Laura Hazel Criddle and Jack Criddle. He is also survived by nieces and nephews.
Visitation was held on Sunday, December 22nd 2024 from 2:00 PM to 4:00 PM at the Thorn Church of God (1513 Co Rd 405, Houston, MS 38851). A funeral service was held on Sunday, December 22nd 2024 at 4:00 PM at the same location.
In lieu of flowers, the family ask that donations please be made to Alzheimer's Awareness, the American Cancer Society or the Thorn Church of God Building Fund.
