He is survived by: his wife Mary Liddell Smith; his children, David Smith and Debbie Freeman (Winky); and his grandchildren, Sommer Armstrong (Chad), Annabeth Wyatt (Matt), Lana Claire Morgan (Rob), Ryan Smith (Lakin), Samantha Smith Burgess (Stephen), William David Smith (Lindsey), Jay Smith and Sara Lynn Smith. He is also survived by 11 great-grandchildren.
