He is survived by: his parents, Rex Edward Smith, Sr. (Corine) of Pontotoc and Josie Smith of Pontotoc; his wife Betty Joyce Collums Smith of Houlka; his daughters, Maggie Carwyle of Baldwyn, Rachel Reeves (Randy) of Houlka, Jessie Edington (Larry) of Houlka and Donna Shempert of Houlka; his siblings, Joann Long (Larry) of Vardaman, Robert Smith (Lynda) of Pontotoc and Ricky Smith (Janet) of Houston; and his grandchildren, Chris Reeves (Samantha), Dustin Reeves, Steven Reeves (Haley), Austin Reeves, Chianne Edington, Chase Huey, Leah Shempert, Bubba Edington, Lakelyn Smith, Makinley Huey, Zack Edington, Jacob Shempert and Joseph Shempert. He is also survived by eight great-grandchildren, and host of nieces and nephews.
