He is survived by: his wife Cathy Nix of Houlka; his children, Jodi (Matt) of Houlka and Joseph (Molly) of Houlka; his grandsons, Jaleen Stephens and Jaxon Nix; his siblings, Judy Priest (Mike), Kathy Carlin (Trini) of Pontotoc and Paul Nix of Pontotoc; and his son Shawn Nix (Rhonda) of Houlka. He is also survived by nieces and nephews; and one special nephew.
