He is survived by: his wife Vivian Womble West; his sons, Gene "Bub" West, II and David West, Sr. (Jennifer); his grandchildren, Casey West of Stuart and David West, II of Stuart; his stepgrandson Cole Glemser; and his sister Dorothy West of Chattanooga. He is also survived by extended family and many friends.
