It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Dennis James O'Brien of Horn Lake, Mississippi, born in Baltimore, Maryland, who passed away on March 10, 2024, at the age of 83, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his parents, George V. O'Brien and Caroline McCusker O'Brien; and his siblings, James O'Brien, Claire Pike and Eleanor Staples.
He is survived by: his wife Barbara Guidry O'Brien; his children, David O'Brien (Brenda) of Ashland, MS, Anita Parvin (Richard) of Southaven, MS and Karen Costa (John) of Memphis, TN; and his sister Carol Studard of Rural Hall, NC. He is also survived by nine grandchildren and 10 great-granchildren.
The family requests memorial donations to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital (https://www.stjude.org) or St. Paul Catholic Church (http://stpaulmemphis.org) be made in Mr. O'Brien's honor, in lieu of flowers.
