He was predeceased by: his daughter Laura Elizabeth Estess. He is survived by: his wife Dottie; his children, Dr. J. Murray Estess (Olga Portwood Estess), Thomas C. Estess and Mary Margaret Estess Johnson (Keith Johnson); and his grandchildren, John Murray Estess III (Morgan Crowley Estess), Jarrett Estess, Jordan Estess, Joshua Estess and Laura Lyle Johnson.
