It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Dewey Anderson Furr Sr. of Hollandale, Mississippi, born in Delta City, Mississippi, who passed away on May 25, 2022, at the age of 88, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Dewey Hobson and Mellye Pierce Furr; his siblings, Richard A. Furr, Etta Westbrook and Erlene Clark; and his sons-in-law, Clannis H. Braswell and William R. "Rickey" Potter.
He is survived by: his wife Cora Twiner Furr; and his children, Nancy Christine Braswell of Coila, MS, Julia Potter of Belzoni, MS, Dewey Anderson "Buck" Furr, Jr. of Coila, MS and Richard Furr (Tina) of Vicksburg, MS. He is also survived by six grandchildren, six great grandchildren, and a host of nieces, nephews, and friends.
In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the Theological Educational Fund at Leland Presbyterian Church in Leland, MS or to the Thomas Gaddis Masonic Lodge in Hollandale, MS.
