He was predeceased by: his father Jack Appelhans; his daughter Scotland Appelhans; and his sister Nanette Appelhans Patch. He is survived by: his mother Neva Appelhans of Arvada; his wife Joan Estes Appelhans; his children, Paige Appelhans of Holcomb, Dakotah Kraushaar (Cody) of Houston, Texas and Vernon Rodgers (Lindsay) of Ruleville; his grandsons, Braxton and Marshall; and his daughter Pamela Eckhardt-Appelhans. He is also survived by seven brothers and two sisters.
