It is with deep sorrow that we announce the death of Betty Diane Swearingen of Hickory, Mississippi, born in Lena, Mississippi, who passed away on April 27, 2022, at the age of 77, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her parents, Braxton Rives and Betty Rives; and her brothers, Aaron Rives, Randolph Rives and Harry Wayne Rives.
She is survived by: her husband James Otis Swearingen; her siblings, Judy Jenkins and Luther "Sam" Rives; and her nieces, Patricia Smith, Emily Darby, Amanda Hopperdietzel, Melissa Romig and Darcie Rives-East. She is also survived by 6 great-nieces and nephews.
