He was predeceased by: his wife Doris Turner; his parents, Herbert Turner and Mattie Turner; and his siblings, Edwin Turner Jr. and Joyce Hutcherson.

He is survived by: his children, Robin Hopkins, Cathy Lewis, Larry Turner and Jeffery Turner; and his sister Sandra Huston (Thomas). He is also survived by eleven grandchildren and five great grandchildren.
