He was predeceased by: his parents, Roark Britt and Willie Dean Boatner; his son Kevin Boatner; and his brothers, John and Charles Boatner.
He is survived by: his wife Mary Joyce Cox Boatner; his daughter Sandra Whitten (Cary); and his siblings-in-law, Francine Howell (Ella Thompson) of Potts Camp and Jack Cox of New Albany. He is also survived by nieces and nephews.
Visitation was held on Tuesday, January 21st 2025 from 12:00 PM to 2:00 PM at the United Funeral Service, Inc. (700 MS-15, New Albany, MS 38652). A funeral service was held on Tuesday, January 21st 2025 at 2:00 PM at the same location.
In lieu of flowers donations may be made to the Gideons or Baptist Children's Village.
