With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Robert Stuart Schaeffer Sr. of Hernando, Mississippi, who passed away on December 25, 2021 at the age of 91. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

He was predeceased by: his son Robert S. Schaeffer, Jr. (Bob) of Cordova, Tennessee.; and his grandson Johnny Southerland. He is survived by: his siblings, Sandeford Julius Schaeffer, Sr. and Lillian Geniver Howard Schaeffer; his pet Lucy; his wife Gussie McClendon Schaeffer; and his children, Christy Schaeffer Southerland, Scott Schaeffer of Southaven, Tim Barnette of Hernando and Pam Barnette Brunner of Paris, Mississippi..

Donations, in lieu of flowers may be made in Mr. Schaeffer's name to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital in Memphis, Tennessee.
