He was predeceased by: his wife Judy Tartera. He is survived by: his children, Alex P. Tartera Jr. (Angela) of Lakeland and Carla Dee Tartera of Hernando; his grandchildren, Kelly Tartera, Spencer Tartera and Zachary Tartera; and his siblings, Virginia "Boney" Fanucci of Bartlett and Gene Tartera.
