He is survived by: his wife Mary Jo Franklin; and his children, Holly McCaskill (Jeff) of Hernando and Rusty Whitfield (Marilyn) of Atlanta, Georgia. He is also survived by five grandchildren; one great-grandchild; and several nieces and nephews.
