He was predeceased by: his parents, Mark Alexander Jackson, Jr. and Emma Scott Jackson. He is survived by: his wife Janette Woolfolk Jackson; his daughter Susan; his son-in-law Sam Dunaway; his grandson Scott; his granddaughter-in-law Cyndi Dunaway; and his siblings, Willis Harold Jackson, Howard Thornton Jackson, Mark Vaughn Jackson, Evelyn Jackson Scarbrough and Janie Jackson of Virginia. He is also survived by relatives, in-laws, nieces and nephews.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Love Community Cemetery.
